Set in the late 1800’s, students and professors at university prepare for Christmas. While the students of the Christian Union excitedly prepare for their Christmas celebration on the steps of the Main Hall, Professor Quidley finds the celebration a bit beneath the intellectualism of the university. As he explores the Christmas story for himself, intent on disproving the truth of the story, he finds a different answer than he expected.
Interspersed with festive vocal and instrumental music featuring the violin, cello, trumpet, piano, and mandolin, this program reminds us that the baby in the manger was no ordinary baby, but God with us.
