“Hope was Given,” is a Christmas program of music and drama you will not want to miss. The setting is a town park where a church puts on an annual Christmas celebration. Cynthia doesn’t care for the merriment of Christmas, but after a personal invitation to come to the program decides to come and see what it is all about. She realizes that Christmas represents more than just a bunch of trite wishes for peace and joy. She is introduced to Jesus Christ as the giver of hope who was born in a manger, died on the cross, and rose from the grave. God has given us a wonderful gift of hope that brings lasting joy and reason for heartfelt celebration.
The program consists of drama, puppets, and vocal and instrumental music including piano, chimettes (handbells), flute, trumpet, violin, mandolin, and guitar.
